Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-07-25 · Applies to Couchwarden and all Deskwarden desktop software · Offered by Deskwarden LLC (Connecticut, USA)

The short version

Our software collects nothing, transmits nothing, and contains no code capable of network communication. There is no account, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party service. What happens on your machine stays on your machine — as a matter of construction, not policy.

Why "cannot", not just "doesn't"

A tool like Couchwarden must observe keyboard and mouse events to do its one job: deciding, on your machine, whether an input event was intentional or accidental. We believe software with that responsibility must be verifiably incapable of misusing it. Couchwarden is built from the Python standard library with no networking modules of any kind — no sockets, no HTTP, nothing. It has no mechanism by which data could leave your computer.

What the software processes locally

What we collect through this website

This is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. If you email support, we receive what you send us and use it only to help you.

Microsoft Store

If you install our software through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes the download and any purchase under its own privacy statement. We receive only the aggregate, non-identifying statistics Microsoft shows all Store publishers.

Changes

If a future product ever needs different terms — for example, an optional update check — we will say so here plainly, in its own section, before that product ships. The commitment above stands for everything currently offered.
